Great sound starts with great power. Therefore, Octa Rack uses the proven power design and technology from the Ark console. Many engineers regard the Ark console as one of the best-sounding consoles available. That heritage gives Octa Rack a clear advantage.

Each Octa Rack slot includes dedicated regulators and filters. As a result, every Octa module receives the cleanest possible +/- 24 volts. Octa Rack 500 goes even further. It adds dedicated power supplies, regulators, and filters for the +/- 16V rails. In addition, these components remove noise and interference from the power lines. The result is cleaner power and more transparent audio.

Because of this design, any 500, 51x, or Octa module can sound better in the Octa Rack than in many other racks. You also avoid the hum, hiss, and distortion that often affect lower-quality 500-series racks.

The Octa Rack motherboard uses 18-pin EDAC connectors. The extra pins on the 18-pin connector deliver the +/- 24V rails. That higher voltage lets Octa modules run with more headroom and improved sound quality.
