The Interphase Audio EQ 2.2-VU brings the middle EQ section of the Ark input channels into a rackmount format. In addition, it delivers the same musical character in a compact 2U, 19-inch unit. If you want a smooth, colorful EQ that still gives you precise control, the EQ 2.2-VU is a strong choice.
Each EQ 2.2-VU unit includes two IP211 modules. Moreover, each module provides a 4-band inductive equaliser, a Hi-Cut filter, a Lo-Cut filter, and Swing EQ. As a result, you can shape tone with confidence while keeping the sound rich and smooth.
The EQ 2.2-VU uses two audio paths per channel. Therefore, each channel can work on either the “A” or “B” path independently. On the Ark8 console, these paths are known as the “Large Fader” and “Small Fader” audio paths. This design gives you flexibility in routing and processing.
Each module has 2 inputs and 2 outputs, so the EQ 2.2-VU effectively offers 4 I/O. Because of that, it works well in complex signal chains where you need more than one processing path. You can use each of the four EQ sections on either audio path, which adds even more control.
The EQ section in the Ark is already well known for its character. However, the EQ 2.2-VU makes that same sound available in a dedicated rack unit. It adds silky, smooth color while still giving you plenty of room to make detailed adjustments. In other words, it is built for engineers who want both tone and flexibility.
The EQ 8 uses the same IP211 modules in a larger format. It includes eight modules in a 6U rack and offers 16 I/O. Meanwhile, the EQ 2.2-VU keeps the same sound in a smaller footprint for more focused setups.
Both the EQ 2.2-VU and EQ 8 are built to order only. Therefore, each unit is made specifically for your setup and workflow.
