Iridium Inductor EQ

Interphase Audio Iridium 500 is a single-channel, 4-band inductor EQ designed for engineers who want a rich, musical sound. It uses inductor-based circuits, a design approach many people regard as the holy grail of equaliser design. In fact, legendary units like the Pultec helped define this sound in the late 1950s.

Inductors create a distinctive tonal character because of their unique electro-mechanical behavior. As a result, they add warmth, depth, and a smooth response that stands out in a mix. Iridium takes advantage of that character across all four bands, so you can shape tone with precision and personality.

The Iridium Inductor EQ uses 16 inductors across its four bands. In addition, custom-wound inductors in the low-mid and low bands give you tight control where it matters most. That means you get the classic inductor sound along with accurate control over each key frequency range.

Class-A, discrete design

This unit uses a Class-A, discrete design. Every component is carefully chosen and matched to support an extremely musical result. Consequently, the sound stays open, detailed, and highly usable on a wide range of sources. Many sound engineers appreciate this kind of character because it delivers clear results without sounding harsh.

At the same time, Iridium is not a clone or copy of any vintage unit. Interphase Audio built it as a modern design with updated techniques and components that were not available 60 years ago. Therefore, it offers a fresh take on a classic idea rather than a replica of the past.

Because it uses inductors, each band produces a peaking or bell-shaped response. This gives you focused control over the selected frequency. You can also choose from six carefully selected frequencies on each band. These options are spaced at musically useful intervals, so it becomes easier to make confident EQ decisions.

Furthermore, each band provides up to 15 dB of cut or boost. That gives you plenty of range for subtle correction or more dramatic tone shaping. With this level of control, the Iridium Inductor EQ works well on individual tracks, buses, and mix elements alike.

If you want a modern EQ with classic inductor character, Iridium delivers exactly that. The Iridium Inductor EQ gives you precision, musicality, and a sound that inspires creative mixing.
