Iridium 4-Band Inductor Equaliser

Interphase Audio Iridium is a 4-band inductor equaliser designed for engineers who want colour, precision, and musical control in one unit. If you want an EQ that adds depth and character, Iridium delivers a silky, rainbow-like response that shapes sound with ease.

The name Iridium comes from Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow. That inspiration fits perfectly. Each band gives you smooth, intuitive control, so you can dial in frequency changes and hear fast, satisfying results. In fact, Iridium is the kind of EQ that quickly becomes a favourite in the studio.

Inductor-based circuits have long held a special place in audio design. For example, classic units such as the Pultec helped define the sound of recorded music in the late 1950s. Inductors bring a distinctive electro-mechanical character, and that character gives Iridium its musical voice. As a result, the EQ feels rich, responsive, and unmistakably analogue.

The Interphase Audio Iridium uses 16 inductors across its four bands. In addition, custom-wound Carnhill inductors shape the low-mid and low bands, giving you both precision and a strong inductor-driven tone. This combination helps each band respond naturally while still offering firm control over the spectrum.

Class-A discrete design

Iridium is built as a Class-A discrete design. Every component is selected and matched with care, so the unit produces a highly musical sound with clear personality. At the same time, it is a modern circuit that benefits from updated techniques and components unavailable decades ago. Therefore, it stands apart from vintage clones and direct copies. Interphase Audio designs original tools that serve today’s production needs.

Because the circuit uses inductors, each band provides a peaking or bell-shaped response. That means you can target frequencies with accuracy and make focused adjustments. Moreover, each band includes six carefully chosen frequency options arranged at musically useful intervals. You can also apply up to 15 dB of boost or cut per band, which gives you plenty of creative range.

Iridium is available as an Octa or 500 module, and you can choose a Silver or Black faceplate to suit your setup. Overall, Iridium offers a refined, powerful EQ experience with classic flavour and modern engineering. If you need an inductor equaliser that inspires confident decisions, Iridium is a strong choice.
