Interphase Audio Barium Reference Signal Meter

Interphase Audio Barium is a precision reference signal meter designed for reliable studio monitoring. It helps you read levels clearly and consistently, so you can make faster mixing and calibration decisions. In addition, it gives you a clean visual reference that fits easily into professional audio workflows.

Barium comes in two versions. A single-channel reference bargraph meter with 20 LEDs, or a dual bargraph for two channels with 2 x 20 LEDs, which makes it a practical choice when you need to monitor stereo signals side by side.

Both versions deliver a 42 dB range and include peak hold for easier level tracking. Moreover, the meter supports both dBu and dBFS scales, so you can work in the reference format that suits your setup. Thanks to its precise calibration, Barium works especially well as a trusted reference meter in recording and mastering environments.

By default, Interphase Audio Barium is calibrated to -18 dBFS = 0 dBu. However, you can adjust it to -20, -22, or -24 dBFS = 0 dBu with the DIP switch on the main PCB. This flexibility lets you match the meter to different studio standards without changing your workflow.

Interphase Audio Barium also integrates smoothly into the signal path. You can insert it anywhere without disrupting the audio chain. Because the input is hard-wired to the output, the signal continues uninterrupted and stays uncolored. As a result, you get accurate metering without compromising sound quality.
