Interphase Audio Carbon 500 is a single-channel, 4-band capacitive EQ module built for precise shaping and musical results. If you want a classic EQ workflow with a modern approach, Carbon gives you a straightforward way to control tone with confidence.
Capacitor-based EQ circuits are often seen as the classic equaliser design. In fact, many legendary EQs from SSL, API, and Neve use this style of circuit. Carbon draws on that tradition, while adding the Interphase Audio approach to design, build quality, and sound.
We designed Carbon as a full Class-A, discrete EQ. Every component was carefully selected and matched to support a rich, detailed, and highly musical sound. As a result, the module delivers control without losing character.
Interphase Audio does not build replicas. Instead, we focus on original designs that offer strong performance, clear functionality, and inspiring sound.
Like all Interphase Audio products, Carbon combines excellent audio quality with simple operation. Therefore, you can move quickly while still achieving accurate tonal changes. The four EQ bands also include wide overlapping frequency ranges. This makes Carbon especially effective for reducing troublesome frequencies or adding focused enhancement where a mix needs it.
In addition, the high-frequency and low-frequency bands can work as either shelf or peak filters. That flexibility gives you extra control over punch, depth, brightness, and low-end weight. Each band provides up to 15 dB of cut or boost, so you can make subtle adjustments or more dramatic moves when needed.
Carbon fits naturally into creative mixing and corrective work. Whether you want to smooth a harsh source, add presence, or shape the bottom end, Carbon gives you a practical and musical solution. Moreover, its clear layout makes it easy to use in fast-paced sessions.
If you are looking for the Carbon 4-Band Capacitive EQ module, this design offers the classic sound you expect with the reliability and clarity you need.
