Interphase Audio EQ 2.2: Smooth Color, Precise Control

The Interphase Audio EQ 2.2 brings the character of the IP211 EQ module from the Ark8 console into a compact rack format. If you want to add rich, silky color to your tracks, this unit gives you that tone with impressive flexibility.

It includes two IP211 modules, and each module gives you a 4-band inductive equaliser, a Hi-Cut filter, a Lo-Cut filter, and Swing EQ. As a result, you get a musical EQ that shapes sound while keeping detail and depth intact.

Each module offers two inputs, two outputs, and two audio paths. In practice, that means one module functions as an EQ with 4 I/O. Moreover, each of the four EQ sections can work independently on either the A or B audio path. On the Ark8 console, these paths are known as the Large Fader and Small Fader paths.

The Interphase Audio EQ 2.2 places these two modules horizontally in a 2U 19-inch rack. That compact layout makes it a strong choice for studios that need high-quality analogue EQ in a practical footprint. At the same time, it preserves the full behavior of the original IP211 design.

For larger setups, the EQ 8 expands the concept with eight IP211 modules mounted vertically in a 6U 19-inch rack. Consequently, it delivers 16 I/O while keeping the same dual-path, four-section EQ structure. This makes it ideal for users who need more channels and broader routing options.
